I tried this place 7 times!!!!! Essex Mimmo's has terrible service. Way too long of a wait for either dining in or take out. Waitstaff bumping into each other and not getting anything accomplished. It was actually comical. Unorganized staff throughout. After waiting for an hour for my pizza, which we ordered to dine in, the waitress came over and asked if I wanted another soda. "No!" I said. "I just want my pizza!" A total waste of time, money and very frustrating. How hard is it to make a pizza! Yet, when I was dragged to the Mimmo's in St. Albans it was a total different experience. Super service and great hot food. The waitstaff could not have been anymore organized and helpful. Night and day! Go figure. If you go to the one in Essex, good luck. Local Gal

They are too modest. Admittedly I have not had pizza in every Vermont locale, however if you are looking for that good NY/NJ pizza taste this is the only place I have found it. Go in, take a seat, and order a couple cheese slices ...you will not be disappointed.

If you are in the mood for pasta try one of the specials, they are excellent and reliable. Cold subs are good too ...as are the strombolis.

The waitstaff is always friendly and makes you want to come back. You will!

No annoying muzak here - you can count on hearing Dean Martin during your meal....
