Ch - ch - ch - cha - Changes.
If you haven't checked out Tilley's Cafe yet, do yourself a favor. The former Coyote's Cafe space has been redone in a fresh nautical theme - and I've enjoyed some great dishes there during the past few weeks. Fresh, light, spiced just right - it is quickly becoming a staple in my dining-out repertoire. You can check out there whole menu and website here.
I have some other staples too - one of which is Junior's Italian in Colchester. I was born in the Bronx and was raised with an Italian grandmother who took it upon herself to feed the family whenever she could, which was often. Whenever I get homesick I go to Junior's and it melts the time and miles away - they just reopened after moving into a brand new building too. It's a brand new look, with the comfortable feel and excellent cuisine that has made it one of mine - and the states - favorites. Check out there new look by clicking here.
The Dairy Queen on North Winooski Ave. is now called Q-tees. I am not sure what's behind the name change. There is a big banner that reads - "Home of the Yum-O-Dog" - so I suppose I should go check it out. I am a fan of "Yum-O-Anything".
Paradise Burritos on Church Street has two signs - one still says Paradise Burritos and one says "Baja Jacks Taco Shack"
The Burrito place in Winooski (on the way to Colchester) is now a Vietnamese place. I am going to check that out soon. I love me some Pho.
We also have a new writer getting involved with HB - her writing will appear here in this spot while I start working on Project-X - which you will hear about in 3 to 5 months.
We've got some non-Project-X- related changes in the works too...
We've been working on some serious information wrangling and universal delivery systems for our eventual jump to HungryUSA.com - (which is not Project X) some of which we will start implementing here, very shortly. It took some serious math and flowcharts to get this stuff to the drawing board even - but we think it will serve you well. Stay tuned!
